Mshomi praying with Tilingona and her daughter Beatrice

While walking through the Shinyanga Region, the Afican Evangelistic Enterprise Tanzania team came across various businesses that would be found in any small town. From small ‘hotels’ to street food stalls, from clothes shops to fruit kiosks. However, one of the kiosks caught the attention of the team, and by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, the team veered into ‘Mama Lishe’s” kiosk for some food. While eating, they engaged Tilingona, the lady who owned and ran Mama Lishe kiosk, in conversation and soon asked her if she had given her life to Christ, to which she responded in the negative. Tilingona became visibly irritated and outrightly mentioned that she was not ready to give her life to Christ. The team from African Enterprise Tanzania then continued with their meal, and soon left, headed back to their routines.

On the last day of the stay at Shinyanga however, the team intentionally paid Mama Lishe one last visit before heading back to Dar es Salaam. The intention was to return and ask Tilingona if she was finally ready to receive Christ. Since it was the last day at Shinyanga region and the team was not sure when next God would take them back there, they felt it urgent that they go to see this lady, one more time, despite the outcome of the previous encounter.

Upon arriving, the team went straight to the point and shared why they had returned yet again, consequently asking her if, this time, she was ready to give her live to Christ. With a surrendered smile, Tilingona accepted to receive Christ, and not just her but her lovely daughter Bernice too!

The team from AEE TZ was filled with great joy for the salvation of the two souls.

It all seemed to emphasize a lesson that sometimes in life, when faced with challenges (as we often will be), it does not always mean that it is a dead end. If at first you do not succeed, try again.
